Overview

This public "Star Party" event is authorized by the city of Shoreline, Parks & Recreation Department and is free of charge.  Experienced astronomers from the Seattle Astronomical Society (SAS) volunteer their time, telescopes, and binoculars to share with the public.  Everyone is welcome including families with children.

 

Dress warmly, bring a chair, blanket, hot drink, and binoculars if you have them. Red Flashlights are preferred, or wrap your white light flashlights with Red Tape or Cellophane to protect your night vision


Check the SAS website < www.seattleastro.org > frequently for star party event status.  If poor weather conditions force the cancellation of an event, that news will be posted, not later than 4 PM the day of the event.
