Astrophotography SIG
Overview
This group explores all types of digital cameras and astrophotography, including capturing star trails, starscapes, constellations, the moon, planets, and deep sky objects.
More Information
One of the main goals of the Astrophotography group is to be open and inviting to everyone. You can come to a meeting with no prior knowledge of astronomy or astrophotography without feeling intimidated. There are lots of friendly people here that are happy to share their knowledge and help you capture your first astrophotos!
Please have a look at some of the photos taken by members at the Seattle Astrophotography Flickr group. Some of these photos are through a telescope, while others required nothing more than a camera on a tripod.
Some subjects for upcoming meetings:
Post processing of images
- Automation of an imaging session
- Power supplies for the field
- CCD camera options
