Overview

Would you like to learn and talk with others about your favorite topics in astronomy?  Please join us at Third Place Ravenna's downstairs pub (Cafe Arta) on Wednesday, July 31 at 7 pm for the first in what may become an ongoing learning club series.  In the first meeting we will talk about the IMAX movie Deep Sky (viewable at the Pacific Science Center) and brainstorm future discussion topics.  If you can't see the movie before the meeting, just come ready to talk and learn about the James Webb Space Telescope!  Contact Elizabeth at elizabeth-willmott@outlook.com with questions and ideas.

    The SAS Women's Astronomy Group will discuss the book The Glass Universe by Dava Sobel. This is a great opportunity to meet like minded women who love astronomy. We can chat about the book over coffee and pastries, get to know one another and hopefully plan some future observing nights together.     Beginning Astronomy Class

    Join Covington Star Party Coordinator, Steve Case, for a beginning astronomy class. You will learn about the sky above and some astronomy history. There is no charge for this event. The class will be held at the Covington Aquatic Center party room, 18230 Southeast 240th Street, Covington, WA 98042 6-7pm before the Covington Park Star Party Please email Steve Case at nisalfman1@gmail.com to RSVP so he can ensure there is adequate space.
