Overview
Join us for a clear weekend and do some stargazing!
This public "Star Party" event is authorized by the city of Shoreline, Parks & Recreation Department, and is free of charge.
Experienced astronomers from the Seattle Astronomical Society (SAS) volunteer their time and telescopes and binoculars to share with the public. Everyone is welcome including families with children.
The Moon is near its "first quarter" phase and as such this is a great time to see the moon because of the nice contrast caused by shadows.
Check the SAS website < www.seattleastro.org > frequently for star gazing event status. If weather conditions force cancellation of an event, that news will be posted no later than 4 PM the day of the event.
Visit the SAS website for other Puget Sound star gazing events, and for outreach opportunities, meetings, and membership information.

Bonney Lake Stargazing
Sat at 07:30 PMSAS Members OnlyWe are kicking off the 2024 observing season early this year. The forecast is for clear skies this weekend. This is just club members looking at the night sky with their equipment. This might be our last chance to see Orion, Pleiades, Jupiter, and comet 12P/Pons-Brooks. Sunset is around 7:30pm with observing starting around 8pm. You might even try to ... more
