  2024 Solar Eclipse

  Open to Public

  Join us at the University of Washington, in front of the Physics and Astronomy building in the Mark McDermott Plaza, to see the eclipse on Monday, April 8th. From Seattle people will see a chunk of the sun taken out, similar to the bite in the Apple logo where it will slide across the side of the sun. The eclipse begins at 10:39am, peak at 11:30, and ends at 12:25pm. We will have eclipse glasses and telescopes to look through. Fingers crossed that we have clear skies.

  Beginning Astronomy Class

  Open to Public

  Join Covington Star Party Coordinator, Steve Case, for a beginning astronomy class. You will learn about the sky above and some astronomy history. There is no charge for this event. Activity search | ActiveNet - Online Recreation Activities (activecommunities.com) The class will be held at the Covington Aquatic Center party room, 18230 Southeast 240th Street, Covington, WA 98042 7pm-8:30pm Please email Steve Case at nisalfman1@gmail.com to RSVP so he can ensure there is adequate space.
